Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across  a wide range of clinic and home-based community care setting.

We are looking for a self-motivated full time Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) (Contract - 7 months) that can bring their skills in therapy services to our clinic. Our PTA will be working with our Physiotherapy team under a registered Physiotherapist that provides treatment modalities, health teaching and exercise programs. In addition, this role will also include handling administrative tasks such as reviewing case loads with our Physiotherapist and reception/front desk coverage.

 

If you are a new Physiotherapy Assistant program graduate, our team provides comprehensive exposure to learning and development opportunities within the clinic.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be working with our physiotherapy team under the supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist.
  • Provide treatment modalities, health teaching and perform exercise programs with clients.
  • Support our administrative team which include reviewing caseloads with our Physiotherapist; undertake front desk and reception coverage in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with an inter healthcare team that partners with our client’s family members and caregivers to build an inter-discipline, holistic treatment goals and service plans.

Skills needed for success:

  • Graduated from a recognized physiotherapy assistant program, or a Bachelors in Kinesiology, or PT experience.
  • A proven track record of being accountable for multiple deliverables, reporting and high- quality performance.
  • Outstanding focus on safety and ethical standards.
  • A strong ability to build and always maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in independent problem solving and recognizing when support from peers and supervisors is needed.
