We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) (Pediatric) who is comfortable providing pediatric care to our clients. This role will be assigned to work every Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 pm – 7:30 am (160 Research Lane Unit 101, Guelph N1G 5B2)
What you will be doing:
- You will be responsible for treating and accessing pediatric patients in-home, including non-verbal pediatric clients.
- Able to work independently while using excellent clinical judgment to assess the client as their
- health status can change quickly
- Experience working with tracheostomy care, ventilator care, g-feeds, insulin, and blood sugar
- monitoring will be considered an assist
- Able to perform emergency trach changes when needed.
- Responsible for J-tube management, feed pump management and maintenance, cleaning of
- Maintain and manage G-tube including bile output, administering of medication via G-tube
- Chest Assessment and Monitor Oximetry
- Manage desaturation effectively
- Assist with safe transfers to a mechanical chair
- Manage all personal care for pediatric clients
- You will report and coordinate with the HCCSS (LHIN).
- Responsible for creating reports and updates on clients.
- Able to order supplies for patients.

- Travel to clients within the community for Pediatric nurse care.

- You have experience working with non-verbal pediatric clients
- You are highly organized and excel at managing your schedule.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A minimum of two years’ community or clinical/hospital experience preferred.
- You are currently certified as a Registered Nurse with the CNO.
- Currently certified with Standard First Aid & CPR/ AED (Level C).
- Can possess current Mask Fit test.
- Have a valid Driver’s License(G2/G) and reliable insured vehicle
