We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist who has a passion for working with children and can provide care within the School-Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS). We have full time and part time roles available based in our GTA locations.
What you will be doing:
- You will be responsible for delivering care to children with rehabilitation needs, in our School-based Rehabilitation Program and must be able to work in a dynamic environment while facilitating relationships between families, schools, and the local healthcare systems.
- You will work collaboratively to provide patient care both virtually and with in-person visits.
- Responsible for providing services involving short-term consultation, training, and intervention for specific rehabilitation needs.
- You will be responsible for assessing and treating pediatric clients with various needs, which include but is not limited to: speech sound delays and disorders, motor speech challenges, stuttering, and voice disorders.
- You thrive on being a self-starter and can work well under minimal supervision.
- You can work in a team but are proven to be reliable while working independently.
- Add, assign and supervise Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) as clinically appropriate.
Skills needed for success:
- You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who loves to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice.
- Know principles of reflective practice.
- Use a systematic approach to decision-making during the development, implementation, and evaluation of clients.
- You are safety-focused and accountable.
- Highly organized, with the ability to multitask conflicting priorities.
- You have Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Have current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
- Must have a current valid G2/G driving license and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
- Ability to speak French would be considered an Asset.
