We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analytics Lead to join our team. This role will focus on managing, analyzing, and preventing rejected billings for home and community care services while driving data-driven decision-support initiatives. The position is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of billings, safeguarding the organization’s financial health, and enhancing operational efficiency. Over time, the role will expand to include corporate decision support, providing strategic insights through advanced data analytics and reporting.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, strong technical expertise, and a problem-solving mindset to address complex challenges and drive continuous improvement.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee and analyze rejected billing using advanced KPI dashboards and automated reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), collaborating with Branch leadership, Finance, and external payers to resolve discrepancies and using queries or scripting tools to identify data trends.
  • Conduct root cause analyzes on rejected billing, identify recurring issues, implement system-based solutions, design a centralized tracking system, and train internal teams on best practices to minimize billing errors and improve processes.
  • Develop workflows using automation tools to streamline follow-up on outstanding billing, ensure timely resolution within SLA timelines, collaborate with Finance and local branch leadership for necessary documentation, and coordinate with the billing team to resubmit corrected billing and track progress.
  • Create dynamic, real-time reports using tools like Power BI to analyze rejected claims, provide insights on trends and financial impact, maintain accurate records for audits, and assist in preparing regular and periodic billing performance reports for senior governance.
  • Act as the technical liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, using data visualization tools to present billing trends and claim statuses, while serving as the point of contact for billing inquiries and conducting monthly performance meetings with clinical and branch operations teams to ensure accurate service documentation for billing.
  • Collaborate with IT to integrate error-proofing mechanisms into billing systems, ensure local branch operations align with billing best practices and payer regulations, and stay updated on changes in billing codes, insurance requirements, and healthcare regulations affecting billing processes.
  • Extract insights from corporate data to improve efficiency, minimize data silos, promote a data-driven strategy, shift to proactive decision-making, and lead efforts to optimize performance and support organizational goals.

Skills needed for success:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/medical administration, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing operational support in a home and community care setting, healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or other analytics or operational roles within a healthcare organization.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Deep understanding of billing workflows/processes, revenue cycle processes, and payer requirements in home and community care services.
  • Proficiency with billing and scheduling software end to end, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Expert in Power BI for creating dynamic reports and visualizations
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across branches and departments.
