Shift Time : Monday& Friday from 3 PM-3AM, Every Other Sunday (12 PM-12AM) , with flexibility during summer hours needed.

We are looking for a Shift Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next Shift Nurse will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive the success of their role.

This is a position available based out of Hamilton for a private client.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Provide compassionate care tailored to client needs, with expertise in managing TracheostomyHeat Moisture Exchange (HME)G-tubes, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Experience working with pediatric clients is required.
  • Support clients living with Autism Spectrum Disorder using Positive Behavior Support strategies.
  • Administer medications and assist with personal care routines.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with parents and other caregivers.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to community-based care.
  • Prepare and maintain client reports and updates.
  • Manage and order medical supplies as needed.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients through empathy, consistency, and trust.
  • Demonstrate initiative and independence, thriving with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team while being reliable and self-directed.
  • Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
  • Prioritize safety for both yourself and your clients, adhering to best practices and protocols.

 

Skills needed for success:

  • You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptionally organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage your schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to connect clearly and confidently.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a community care or clinical/hospital setting is preferred.
  • Currently certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C).
  • Able to provide a current Mask Fit test certification.
