Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Salaried Permanent Full-Time Role
Location: York Region – Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Newmarket, Georgina
Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) provides Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home based and community service settings.
We are looking for Paediatric Occupational Therapists that can bring their integrated approach in therapy services to our client’s homes and community clinics.
Our Occupational Therapist will be working with children with complex neurological and musculoskeletal needs in home and community clinics. The intervention will include activities of daily living, fine motor skills, home safety equipment, home accessibility, play and recreation, and augmentative communication. What you will be doing:
- You will conduct comprehensive developmental and functional assessments, creating individualized, family‑centered therapy care plans.
- Provide physiotherapy to children with complex neurological and musculoskeletal needs in home and community clinics, adjusting interventions as they progress.
- Recommend mobility aids and adaptive equipment based on each child’s developmental, safety, and functional requirements.

Skills needed for success:
- Have a current active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in good standing
- Previous Paediatric experience is preferred
- ADP Authorizer or willingness to be trained is preferred
- Have knowledge of legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice
- Use a systematic approach to decision making during the development, implementation, and evaluation of the physiotherapy care plan
- Be able to manage time and workload effectively
- Ensure appropriate and secure documentation
- Be able to work within a flexible schedule and adaptable environment
- Have the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position.
- Have a valid Driver’s License and reliable insured vehicle
- Ability to speak French will be an asset
