Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA)
Salaried Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: York Region – Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Newmarket, Georgina
Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) provides Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of clinic and home-based community care settings.
We are looking for a full time Paediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) to join our team. This OTA/PTA can bring their therapy services skills to York Region. Our Therapy Assistant will be working mainly under Registered PTs and OTs to provide health teaching, fine motor, sensory regulation, and exercise programs as part of a delegated program.
What you will be doing:
- You will be working with our physiotherapy and occupational therapy team under the supervision of a Registered PTs and OTs.
- Provide health teaching and perform program plans with clients.
- Services will be provided in client’s homes and community clinics.
Skills needed for success:
- Recent graduates from a recognized OTA/PTA program is required
- A proven track record of being able to work independently, and within a team.
- Building relationships with clients and their families/ caregivers.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and the use of a reliable vehicle.
